So, how is it, you do not think, they haven't the same chance?

I know what I could have done if I had only known of my strength and weakness in the areas the experience, shown me.

My name could have been put on many of a billboard throughout the Dallas Metro plex and you would have known who I am, if the risk taking had not unnerved me so much, I lost sight of my goal.

Some people have it, some don't and that's okay. More people need to know this about themselves and others.

They also need to realize the power each individual has, even those that don't know of their power, they still have it within themselves. (little bit of philosophy here...sorry)

Does anyone ever wonder why the phrase "quality of life" is seldom heard in America.

But I bet you have a whole house crammed with products, same for your garage, maybe even a rental storage space.
Quality of life in America is a bigger and bigger, flashier car, a big screen TV with cable for 400 channels, a DVD box collection of Bruce Willis movies, more stuff, bigger stuff, stuff with blinking, flashing lights.
You're right, America is the world's largest economy! More money than anyone else! More money! More, more, more!
Get off your sofa and run to the store to buy something - that's the quality of life. Buy something big, something flashy, something your neighbors will envy.
Worship your religion!
What do you suggest as an alternative to working and earning money?

What you outline is what capitalism is about; many people have nothing to offer except their bodies for labor.
How about an estimate of how much a billboard campaign costs?
Finding a job to clean post-construction is fine. But would you like to do it as a career? For 30 years? How about if 5 cleaning jobs are available (at minimum wage) and 500 apply? What to do with the remaining 495.
Success stories are great. What about towns with high unemployment? Do we just seal them off and let the people expire?
How does a family of 4 survive on minimum wage? Got any tips? They would be well appreciated.
Capitalism reduces people to vicious animal instinct for survival. That's the competition. Toss a chunk of raw meat to the beasts and watch as they claw at each other to get a share. While those who are in control play another round of golf.
This system has been completely dehumanized. Someone already mentioned cannibalism. That's the one thing that is missing.

The alternative is to have the other guy work while you enjoy "quality of life."
Have you noticed who they all want socialism yet they want to keep and enjoy what capitalism has created i.e. quality of life?

Not just caused government but by people. Unfotunately this is the downfall of humanity and no economy or form of government can survive without constant questioning and scrutiny. There will always be opportunists looking for loopholes and ways to screw over others for their own benefit.

I'm talking about government intervention. It's crazy how people think that in a free market somehow one huge monopoly forms to suck the people dry... for some reason they fail to recognize that that is exactly what government is and does.

There was never a "free market". There will never be. Prove me wrong.
