Maybe the Conservatives might learn a new mantra, something like:

"Everyone knows that you can't keep taking a voluntary cut in pay and still pay off your debts."

How about we raise corporate taxes and income taxes above $250,000 to 95% with no exemptions and see how fast liberals will plummet from politics once our unemployment reaches 20%?

Extremists think of extreme solutions. There's the more sensible way... let tax cuts expire and settle back to the times when things were working?

Of course. Profit is what drives a market-based economy. Yes, profit is good. I know it's a dirty word to extreme liberals, but humans, except the really religious, don't give out of the goodness of their hearts if they don't expect something in return

If we're going to fix this budget crisis, tax hikes are inevitable. I don't know why anyone ever thought otherwise. You REALLY thought that we're going to do it through cuts alone? Aint gonna happen.
