Thanks for going back and recapping it WITH links. I'm sure it will fall on the deaf ears of many of the diehard Obama supporters who won't believe any of it anyway.

(The interview with the guy from Ireland is absolutely hilarious!!)
Oh you're not kidding, that Irish guy cracked me up to no end. I even went so far as to extract that clip of video out for its own "special sauce" kind of moment. I only wish people in our political body had enough fire to just let loose once in a while like he did. Imagine that guy as the White House Press Secretary! (chuckling)

As to the "list", I'll address my comments below with another poster.

So, TH, where do we go from here? What do we do?

Where do we go from here, well if it were up to me it would be just about anywhere different, but since it is not up to me, I'm going to toss out a guess and say, we as a nation will stay the course. Whether Obama gets reelected or some Republican takes the reigns, it doesn't really matter. On peripheral issues, sure, on hot button red meat stuff that is choice dejour for the base of either, sure, but on core foundational issues, nothing will change until the people make it change.

From this list and if I were a Democrat, let alone a Liberal, I'd be thinking to myself... my god, the man is a monster and antithetical to anything remotely Liberal. Just because he uses the language of a liberal means squat when you look at his actions.

If I were someone on the right, I would look at that list and think, my god, that man is a monster and antithetical to anything remotely Liberal, so why do I persist on calling him some marxist uber liberal extremist leftist, whatever... It is simply wrong to characterize Obama as such because the proof is in the actions, Obama is no Liberal in any book.

If I were from the left, I'd be thinking, that list sounds a lot like George Bush and well, I was against George Bush with every fiber of my being, so why am I supporting this guy?

If I were from the right I'd be thinking, that list sounds a lot like George Bush, I supported George Bush with every fiber of my being, so why am I so opposed to this guy.

Now humor aside, what is most clear is that beyond the individual man or even their own words, in actiond and in deed, left and right sure do look a lot closer together than most care to admit.

For myself, it reaffirms my assertion that much of the left v right dichotomy in our arguments is a lot about nothing, because in either case, the song remains very much the same. It also tells me that the argument should be far more focused on people v government-military-industrial-media-corporate-complex that funds these men who sell their souls for the chance to govern over us, and when I say over us, I mean with a buggy whip.

To the extent that I am right or wrong in my assertions, there is in abundance, enough evidence to consider the larger argument.

I honestly pine for the days when your political philosophy mattered.

Sorry Grit, my bad... but I couldn't watch it again (I can't even add to the list right now) because it just makes my blood boil.

What disturbs me is that when you try and enlighten people to the problem, as I've done before and TN has tried to do here, everyone gets really quiet, or they sit with their hands of their eyes so they don't have to live with the truth.

Its scary.

There are none so blind as those who will not see...

Honestly I don't think the powers that be will allow us to go bankrupt, unless its beneficial to the richest Americans and the defense industry. More likely than that would the the initiation of another world war, in which case most of the debt would be nullified.
It may not even be up to just Americas richest if you know what I mean.

Well they say that in the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king.

I think that the United States proves that saying wrong......

I more wish that Conservatives were conservative, Liberals were liberal, and the enemy was holding a banner at our gate instead of hiding in the shadows of our own cherished halls. Or at least they could kiss me first...

I don't know about what they say, but I say that in America, the easiest way to get anti-war liberals to support a war is to elect a black man who promises to end our wars and occupations, then escalates them while betraying nearly every core liberal principle.

Contemporary Republicans sold their souls a decade ago, it seems now Democrats have surpassed them and all that is missing is for Obama supporters to call me un-patriotic, call 911 and report to the DHS that I offended them, have me detained indefinitely without charges since due to their silence, anti-war activist in this country are more dangerous than the Taliban.

Democrats, what did it feel like when you sold out? Did it at least sting for a moment, please tell me you cared enough that you at least thought about it for more than a minute? Which rationalization do you use to ease the pain, if you have any?

I only work a single shift tomorrow and I'm too tired tonight, but I am going to try and cite the various news sources and quotes from Obama during the campaign and his previous years and compare them to his actions. I'll have to pen and paper this then type it out so it will take some time as there are many, but I think if people see them all listed, it will give a better idea.
TN I wish you were running for office. I'd certainly vote for you. I might even campaign for you-- a distinction in my life reserved for those outside the status quo maintenance. That was Ross Perot.

You can't honestly say sated if the left is the one calling him out on his stuff. If the left is the one handing Blanche Lincoln her walking papers. The better part of that film cites criticism from what's dubbed by faux conservatives as the 'left' (everyone who fails to be tea).

Seems to me most of us citizens (and planetary majority) know the difference between right and wrong. We don't make careers out of treachery. We have few difficulties getting along save for a handful of trouble makers in select places of power. If Obama couldn't deliver I believe it's because the system itself is so corrupt no one can change it without constructing an alternative system outside the system and introducing it through legislative petition. I don't think it will matter who is elected into any office so long as owning my representation before (s)he's ever elected sets the tone for legalized corruption. Senator Byrd went to work everyday with a clothespin on his nose. Know that Ron Paul does the same, along with every other well intended naive greenhorn. There are former republicans in the democrat camp, Bill Clinton being prime example. The power vacuum in the GOP has attracted the worst and alienated most conservatives from their own party.

The Fed being reformed is something I see as absolutely needful. Campaign finance reform is another. Whatever legit function lobbyists have petitioning the government it needs to be made to we the people in open forums and not in back room deals or purchasing SCOTUS. 79% of Texas lawyers claim they cannot be reasonably heard in a courtroom unless they contribute money to the campaigns of seated judges. What's wrong with justice?

I'll help out on this film/ Obama fact check mission.
Did 2008 Obama campaign win advertisement awards? YES it DID.
Barack Obama campaign claims two top prizes at Cannes Lion ad awards | Media | guardian.co.uk

What is the function of advertisement? To sell something through persuasive means.

Did people need to be 'sold' on anything having so much aversion to previous administration & McCain saddled with infighting? No they did not. They needed Obama to make good on promises.

Did he?

IRAQ- Google Iraq progress report and everything ends at 2008.
GAO reports leave off in summer of 2008 www.gao.gov/new.items/d08837.pdf.
Here's DOD Measuring Stability and Security in Iraq - U.S. Department of Defense Official Website

All intents and purposes it appears to be a gov't & corporate media blackout, perhaps fixated on other problems afoot, but suspiciously absent. They believe Iraq is over because a declaration was made in the oval office.
Indie source: Timeline, 1990 - 2010 - US - Iraq War - ProCon.org
Brookings institute has an Iraq index pdf...
Iraq Index - Saban Center for Middle East Policy - Saban Center for Middle East Policy - Brookings Institution

Review of these PDF's is common thread. We now have sharp declines in fatalities (both civilian and troops) in large measure because the mission has changed to something that facilitates Iraqi people taking responsibility for themselves more actively. A time line has been set (Dec 2011) knowing there's a 50/50 chance that abrupt wholesale pullout of troops may yield power vacuums devolving to extremism, civil war, and the destruction/ co-opting of all progress made by the hands of yet another despot. That responsibility must be embraced by the people or Iraq as a state will fail. Their economy will continue to falter and/or devolve if journalists, contractors & humanitarian aid workers continue to be murdered by extremists. 2 million Iraqi refugees represents the intellectual capital of a nation alienated from it's origin. Iraqi journalists, doctors and lawyers are targets as were southern professionals during the reign of terror in our own country.

On the subject of Iraq, what would a perfect solution look like?

While you mull that over I'll return to the film and continue fact checking.

I think you would be better to answer that question, since you have been a Republican for most of your life ....
