Think about it. The DC metro is booming because of federal funds. It would always do good because there will always be federal funds to fuel its economy.

Thats not even close to be true. DC is one of the only cities that have increasing property valies while the rest of the nation crashed.

That is only because the federal governamnt has not made cuts needed. Once cuts come the will effect jobs in federal just like states are doing now.It just the same as mnay state and local governamnt jobs were protected until now by stimulus money used to replace their normal revenues that were lowered by recessionh. That is now ending;without higher taxes there is need for cuts.

DC and surrounding areas are extremely prosperous because of federal government contracting. Having worked in the arena and in the area, it is 3rd party government contractors that drive wages.
