Not all Democrats are lining up in support of President Warmonger..
Quote:
A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya, with one lawmaker raising the prospect of impeachment during a Democratic Caucus conference call on Saturday.
Reps. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.), Donna Edwards (Md.), Mike Capuano (Mass.), Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), Maxine Waters (Calif.), Rob Andrews (N.J.), Sheila Jackson Lee (Texas), Barbara Lee (Calif.) and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D.C.) “all strongly raised objections to the constitutionality of the president’s actions” during that call, said two Democratic lawmakers who took part.
Kucinich, who wanted to bring impeachment articles against both former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney over Iraq — only to be blocked by his own leadership — asked why the U.S. missile strikes aren’t impeachable offenses.
The districts of Kucinich and Waters will probably be eliminated in the coming round of redistricting so they have little to lose.
That said, Kucinich is a man with true principles, honesty, and guts. He's essentially signed his own political death warrant in the name of what he really believes in. One cannot help but admire someone like that.
It's restricted thinking to label people....I'm a moderate Democrat..... I'm in favor of the UN's ACTION....I was in favor of the First Gulf War(both actions were the right thing to do) and I was NOT in favor of that megalomanic war mongering Bush invading Iraq and starting the second Gulf War for NO REASON other than his personal agenda.
