Not according to the number of states that have passed or are considering similar laws. It seems that too many states want to enforce federal illegal immigration laws and are willing to take a chance with the Obama - Holder forces.
It appears that Holder may have to just be involved with court proceedings concerning these new laws from the same states since there have been nearly 350 of them passed or proposed. I wonder how much money it will take to fight off all these challenges.
Don't know why other states would want to go our route. It's not even going to work here. What the other states need to do is go after employers. That's the only way to stop it.
With all due respect, I seriously doubt any major employers are hiring illegal immigrants.
LMAO....yea, right. Yell "I.N.S." in any of the large meat packing plants and watch the cockroach effect right in front of your eyes.
And the states don't have to go after large employers only. In this town, they're in the process of bankrupting and jailing one of the independant home builders and dry wallers.
You wanna let businesses off the hook. But if you do that, you can forget any effective fight against border jumping. They're invited here because there is a job on the other end of the risk should they make it. You've gotta make that job disappear. So long as there is a job, they'll keep coming. The Border Patrol in any configuration is powerless to stop it.
