People answered honestly, and from what saw half the responses are people who said where they remember where they were when Reagan got shot and the other half are people who were either too young or not born yet. It's a young crowd here on the interwebs.
I wasn't even two years old when Reagan got shot. My morning cartoons probably got pre-empted by the news broadcast, but I'm not going to lie and say I remember it.
I had to be reminded that it was the day Reagan got shot. I don't carry that date in my head, like I do Nov. 22, 1963.
I was at home, watching TV. My neighbor, a free lance photographer for Newsweek (I think) came upstairs to watch it with me. When he heard the suspect was from Evergreen, CO, he knew he'd be sent out to take pictures.
My husband used to eat lunch at the same McDonald's that John Hinckley frequented.
We got a lot more coverage than other people, b/c of the Colorado connection.

I was at work when my husband called to tell me about the assassination attempt on Reagan. I worked in a doctor's office, and we were listening to one of those piped in "muzac" stations, so we did not know.
I remember. I was in elementary school, & they came in & announced it.
