I heard about that ergohead on the radio. They won't even pick up the bodies because they are so radioactive. The Japanese custom is to cremate and they won't do that either for fear of radioactive particles getting into the air.

Such a sad situation over there and it just gets worse every day.

Yeah, kind of sorry I didn't figure out a way to profiteer over people's irrational panic. Fear sells but I'm just not built that way.

Indeed it is. One of the local charities I participate in has been sending over supplies for displaced survivors in Japan.

“It is important to note that the corresponding MCL for iodine-131 was calculated based on long-term chronic exposures over the course of a lifetime – 70 years. The levels seen in rainwater are expected to be relatively short in duration,” the agency states in a FAQ that accompanied yesterday’s brief news release.

“In both cases these are levels above the normal background levels historically reported in these areas.”
