I don't CARE if Muslims don't like me to eat a bacon sandwich in front of them.

I don't CARE if they don't want me making fun of their silly rules.

I don't CARE if they don't like to be made aware of their barbarism.
It's ignorant Afghani radical Muslims that aren't going to change anytime soon. But if you want to go ahead and do your level best to stir up trouble and vile emotions in a country like Afghanistan, where we have a military presence, with the killing of innocents a foregone result, that's your right. I just hope that the fallout from it affects either you or someone you love.

Just ignorant Afghan Muslims?

What of the others that murder and maim in the name of Islam?

Aren't they also ignorant Muslims?

Here is the thing, almost ANYTHING can 'outrage' Muslims.....the smell of bacon has outraged Muslims, people praying to a different God has outraged Muslims,a lie that a Koran was flushed outraged Muslims....

Even in circumstances where it works AGAINST our interests in the propaganda war?

Not a team player I guess.

As I have already explained, the moderate Muslims should already be on our side, afterall their religion was supposedly hijacked by radicals.

If such a silly thing as one person in a faraway country burning a Koran can drive them into the radical camp, they were never moderate to begin with....

Moderate muslims don't behead people.

But they might get pissed off enough to stop talking to us, which would not be a good thing for our national security.

What this pastor did was stupid and wrong for a whole set of reasons.

Some do, some don't, some are on the fence.

Hence the need to play this game smart and not stupid. What this pastor did was kick his own people in the groin in the propaganda war that is vital to our efforts.

We're not just trying to kill bad people, we are trying to kill bad ideas. We don't need idiots screwing up that effort by alienating muslims that even *might* help us.

Gee, because you burnt their holy book in a publicity stunt perhaps?

You cannot be a moderate and support a radical ideology, you are simply a radical.

Not if,as you just wrote, some of the moderate Muslims support the radicals(are radicals themselves) and some are on the fence as to whether they support radicals(are tacit supporters of radicals).

we have been there 10 years what help have they given us?
the fact is once we leave it will turn into a massive tribal war and the security forces will either flee or get killed

This position is absolutist and unrealistic.

People in real life don't all into neat little categories, just to make it easy for you to label them and avoid any nuanced understanding.
