Lets Cut The CRAP,

It is clear to me that the Republicans are caving **financially** to the idealistic, and unrealistic, expectations of the Democrats.

I feel like whatever settlement is agreed upon, it will be insufficient for any **REAL change** for our long term economy.

I am really disgusted with the weakness of our Repub freshman, our Repub leader (Bone Head, sissy-cry-bay), and Repubs in general.

As weak as our POTUS is, we need just **1= 0--N--E--** person to step up and take a lead. The problem is that they are all timid. THEY ARE ALL COMFORMISTS.

CHEERS.

Republicans and Democrats in Congress are nothing but a bunch of p*ssies. Someone there needs to balance a budget.

And someone needs to start impeachment proceedings for our military action in Libya.

Perhaps you are new to politics, jaydog, but governance is ruled by compromise. The Democrats hold the Senate and Executive Office, Republicans only the House. Therefore, it is logical that final budget would reflect a balance of their values.

Democrats want to cut $33 billion. Republicans want to cut over $60 billion. There's room for compromise in between.

I don't think you understand the legal precedent of presidential authority if you believe Obama should be impeached. You'd have to do the same for presidents ranging from Clinton and Reagan to Teddy Roosevelt and Jefferson.

None of those presidents sent our troops to war without Congrssional approval.

Only legal precedent that matters is what the Constitution says.

We are running trilion dollar deficits. Any compromise on 30-60 billion is a joke.

It proves that the American people would rather bankrupt the country than face up to cutting government.

I agree with compromise. But lets agree with functional compromise.

60 billion is a NOTHING in the grand scheme.

So when we are agreeing on compromise, the compromise is all Republican, in terms of real world change.

That's your opinion. Not necessarily true, which is why we have representatives from different ideologies working for compromise.

Recent Republican budget proposals call for increased taxes, increased health care costs, and creation of new debt in the short-term - all proposals that could be detrimental to our recovering economy. In addition, under the last Republican presidency our spending-to-GDP ratio increased the most.

Letting either extreme take control is a mistake.

Since Obama took office Democrats have increased taxes, increased health care costs and created new debt.

What's the difference?

Conforming is not bad. In the context of your message, you want somebody to step outside of the box and do the "right" thing. If that is what you think needs to happen, then we are in trouble. In order to do the right thing, a person (an adult) needs to hold themselves accountable and change their own direction. They should not wait for somebody to tell them to do the right thing. That is not how our leaders should be chosen. There need to be restrictions and one restriction should be--do something well or don't do it at all.
