I'm not a member of the tea party, but Ron Paul started
the movement in 2007. I'm a libertarian and voted for
him in 1988 when he ran for president as the libertarian
candidate. When he came on the scene again in 2008 his message was no different.

I really don't know how both tea party folks got together;
Palin vs. Paul, but I'll vote for Paul, but not Palin, or any
other member of the tea party/republican party.

IMO, for the same reason that the "blue dog democrats" distinguish themselves from the balance of the party. Both the blue dogs and the Tea party support fiscal responsiblity and living within our means. Something the balance of either party can not claim.

Who did the tea party vote for in 2008? 2010? Who will they vote for in the next Presidential election?

Republicans, that's who.

Republicans listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Tea Party listens to Glen Beck.

Only their minds can tell any difference.

The rest of us are Commies.

...."The grassroots movement of it all really got rolling with the likes of Ron Paul (who now has somewhat distanced himself from them)".

"The distinction has been lost due to the fact that the Republican party shares some of the same ideals (in theory; not practice) of smaller government"

Any hypothetical distinction between the Replugs and Tea Brains was lost when the Tea Party sold out to the Koch brothers and friends, who then funded it's radical candidates.

The Tea Party is not the Republican Party. People who think they are one and the same just don't get it. The Tea Party held Boehner's feet to the fire. He got it.

I know you want that to be true but it is really isn't, the establishment TP is one and the same with the GOP now.

When the TP has speakers like Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Glen Beck the seats are full. When they have true advocates of Freedom like Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano, they get 300 people.

You guys have been hijacked and marginalized sad to say.
