I have to wonder... do ANY of you have kids/nephews/etc that are in the current education system? Did any of you go to public school here in the last 15 years? If you did, NCLB should be sounding VERY familiar. Its amazing how NONE of the teachers and very few parents supported that bill and yet no one here ever wants to bring that up when it comes to why education has gone down the toilet.

Education has gone down the toilet because of central planning. Get the federal government out of education and improvements could be made.

He like many others see more money goig to higher education even if what it prodcues is more peopel for jobs that are few i there field;bring money to the special interest he sees as the slite. Look at his stimulus spending and where it really went. It builds a political machine which he is very familar with from Chicago. He know that he has losss more and more of the welth building segment of the country in support. Its purely politcally based.. Oterwsie why would we not target spending on degrees that we need not millions of more hair dressers.liberal arts degrees etc when so mnay now can't eran a living with those degrees. We are stuck with people entering higher edcuation who do not have the foundation to go further in most degrees really.
