You probably want to check out your local indecent exposure laws. I doubt underwear counts.

What happened to kids dressing with decency and with some values?
Ok, I'll get off of your lawn.

Most school districts in the state already ban droopy pants, but Siplin—who says the public is sick of seeing people's "nasty and dirty" underwear—argues that enacting a law would give the various bans more teeth. Siplin, who is black, rejects the ACLU's fears that the law would disproportionately affect minority students. "It's not confined to minorities. I'm sure you've seen white kids do it," he says.
How in the heck would this law disproportionately affect minority students?

Isn't it as easy as buying a pair of pants that fit you?

It has nothing to do with buying pants that fit. It's the style.

Preemptive: I'm sure that people feel that your style is just as ridiculous as you feel that theirs is

I voted not sure.

Some baggy pants are just to far. I've seen kids walking around with their pants waste almost to their knees.

A little slouch is one thing, all the way down to the knees is another.

I'm not for censorship, hardly ever, but for kids in school, there should be a better dress code. I'm for leisure, but some of this crap is ridiculous.

How does that have anything to do with the ACLU stating it would affect minorities?

Style/fashion comes and goes. This particular style/fashion has been around way too long.

Ever walked behind someone bustin' a sag? They're constantly "adjusting" their pants. HAS to be distracting to the person with the great style and wonderful fashion sense, let alone anyone else within eyesight.

Is it really a style or is a "statement"? Like Goth really isn't a style or a fashion, it's a statement.

Just saw a kid the other day - I was amazed that a belt could keep the jeans somewhere up around his mid-thigh.

Do they sell extra long boxers? This kid was 1cm away from not having to bother with the jeans at all. Could have used them as leg warmers and just walked around in boxers.

He was a tall kid and had a very awkward gait - to keep his pants up.

Perhaps that question would best be answered by the ACLU

Yes. It doesn't distract me. I have more important things to think about than how other people are dressing.

Waste of time and money.

Let the day care centers deal with it. I mean schools.

It should be up to the parents. If they want their kids going to school looking like a prison ***** or an idiot go for it
