I, for one, could care less about the online poker. In fact, I just wish the government would get the hell out of everyone's business, personal and otherwise.
Congressman Barney Frank, the most logical voice in Washington on this issue, commented recently.
“It is a bad law,” he told the New York Times. “How is it possible that a United States attorney in New York does not have anything more to do than indict people for a full house? He should be indicting people for the empty houses we have around,” referring to the troubles in the mortgage industry.

I find it amazing that you Republicans feel it is appropriate for the Government to try to control what people do in their own homes with their resources, time and money, but you don't give a damn about jobs, the economy, healthcare, education, the drug problem, or about a thousand other things that REALLY are affecting Americans.

You do have to admit, though, that it is usually Republicans who come out against abortion, gay rights, and pot legalization. All of these things are something that grownups should determine for themselves, not some government authority. I agree with the OP in that there are far more things that need attention than these petty matters. I don't care what consenting adults do behind closed doors and furthermore it's NONE of your business or anyone else's. So please Republitards, practice what you preach and STAY OUT OF OUR LIVES!

The "fraud" was an attempt to circumvent an idiotic, sleazy, hypocritical law. Sure, it was fraudulent. But the government could tell a ham sandwich that being porcine in the midst of two slices of bread is illegal, and then it could indict said ham sandwich. It's been done before.
