I certainly didn't see this one coming. She has the Veto pen out and in full swing right now....

She's trying to score political points. Wonder if AZ has the votes to overturn her veto. My state had to overturn a Gov. veto to get CCW passed. In the end the Gov. saved face and the people got the right to carry they wanted.

I agree with Sen. Brewer. What exactly would be the point of students bringing guns to college campuses? It's a place of learning, not to practice sharpshooting or to pretend you're a superhero looking out for bad guys on Tower.

With whom pray tell, the citizens of the Arizona?

So remember--if you have an idea about shooting someone in Arizona, do it at the mall...not the local college campus!

We've had several tragic examples of what happens when shooters know that none of their victims on campus can shoot back and defend themselves. The slaughter goes on and on until the gunman runs out of ammo or takes his own life.
Common sense says that if some of those students were able to carry a gun the killings might have been reduced or even prevented if the gunman decided not to take on potentially equally armed students. We never have anything to fear from allowing law-abiding people from carrying guns and the criminals will carry them regardless of the law.

Why not? If I'm a bad guy and I know there are no guns on campus, I have more of a sense of security if I decide to go a huntin'

But it's a gun free zone. It means you as a bad guy can't bring a gun with you to campus. See how that works?

That's a good question on the overturn. I looked for that and didn't see any word yet.
