Group submits third recall for Wis. Democrat - chicagotribune.com

Excellent!

Quote:
MADISON, Wis.—
A conservative group has filed the signatures needed to force a recall election for a third Democratic Wisconsin senator over his stance on Gov. Scott Walker's collective bargaining law.
Hopefully, they will be taught a lesson for their dereliction of duty and their cowardly flight to Illinois.

How long will it take for them to verify these signatures? I hope they dont just plan on taking everyone's word for it. Especially if there are ACORN people around.

The Government Accountability Board has 31 days to rule on if the signatures are valid from the time the petition is turned in (the Senator being recalled has the right to challenge the signatures during the first ten days).

And four of those elections stand a great chance of succeeding for Dems.

These 3 races that the OP is "hopeful" about?......no chance in hell...lol

That seems like way too short of a time to track down everyone and ask them if it's their signature.

Its the similar process to any other signature process. When someone gets signatures to get on a ballot, do you think they go around asking every person if its their signature? Or when someone fills out an absentee ballot, do you think they track down the people to check if its their signature?? Thats not the way it works, on either side.

What is likely done is first its checked if that person is registered to vote at the address that is given, the signature then likely compared to the signature on file, and then if any discrepancies exist, they are then investigated further. Not everyone is going to be tracked down to see if its their signature when they sign a petition, and that goes for everyone and everything. Whether the signature is as I said for an absentee ballot, for in this case a recall petition, a signature to get a candidate on a ballot, a signature for a referendum, etc.
