Unless you are a cultural anthropologist with a PhD in "African-America" there is NO WAY that a white person could know ANYTHING about black culture.

Let me put it to you this way...

My American brothers and sisters of recent African ancestry aren't exactly the quietest wallflowers when it comes to offering their opinions about black America and current events.
That's exactly what i'm saying....you're an outsider, and you simply wouldn't know these things you claim to know. In other words...you don't have a clue.

And no, we aren't shrinking violets with our opinions (i know i'm not), but there are some things that you just aren't privy to unless you're in the clique...and you aren't.

Again, i won't say that Black Republicans are necessarily popular within the black community, but you talking as if you really know how we feel about them is laughable. You presume too much. The average black person doesn't even know any black repubs because of the paucity of such people anyway.

Speaking for myself, i'd never tell you that even if i did feel that way because i don't want outsiders to try and exploit community differences....like you're attempting to do here.

Well, I can't and wouldn't argue against that observation.

I would probably have more consideration for the o. p.'s premise if Republicans would stop calling black folk monkeys and nigras.

I find it most offensive when Republicans attempt to intellectualize their racism as if we aren't intelligent enough to pick it up.
They speak of folk getting ahead by individual effort out one side of their mouths and out the other side they'll tell you every black person in the country only achieved anything through quotas, af, cheating.

Nope, they are not to be trusted!!

It is interesting that you used the word "outsiders" in your reply.

BTW, this video is in no way indicative of African-American political discourse.

YouTube - Obama & Illegal Immigration - Hoodrats vs Black Conservative

But then again...maybe it is. How would I know?

After all, according to you, Black America is a secret society whose culture "outsiders" will never be able to understand.

I agree and I know that all Republicans don't think this way but by allowing this to go on, the ones taht don't give their consent. LMAO at "nigras." Haven't heard that one in a while.

They think that if they avoid using the "N" word or any racial slur, they can say it isn't racist. They rely on stupidty and fear...so predictable but I guess if it ain't broke...

You wouldn't know...which is what i've been telling you. And you never will know. You can offer conjecture based on anecdotes, but that's still weak.

And i don't care how many vids you offer up. You can post all the vids you want. You've got vids...i've got experience. I rub elbows, hit the black barbershops, the family reunions, the BBQ's, the lodges, etc, and you're nowhere to be found. I go where you can't...that's valuable in this argument.

You can only talk to the 2 or 3 black folks you know, plus maybe a little talk radio courtesy of Limbaugh, Savage, Hannity, or some other clown, and form an opinion. And that opinion sounds ignorant and uninformed right off the top. If you were to approach a group of black men and spout this stuff, you'd get stared at as if you were an alien and would probably be met with silence. Or told to GTFOH with your nonsense.

MLK voted for JFK and Lyndon B. Johnson so constantly trying to claim him as Republican is silly.
Like many others, he switched parties. Some people are living in a time warp...times have changed.
We are beyond reconstruction and the civil rights movement although I know some people would like to regress.
If you think JFK would stand with the Liberal crazies that have hijacked the Dem party you are out of touch!

Everyone involved in the Civil Rights Movement were considered to be "Liberal Crazies."
