IFFA doesn't feel like they've gotten what they paid for.

Firefighters' union money goes local - Jeanne Cummings - POLITICO.com

Quote:
“It’s time to send a clear message to all politicians at every level that the support of this IAFF is not automatic. It must be earned,” he said in the memo to members.

“Our support comes with consequences for those who are working to kill this union and we will hold accountable those supposed friends who don’t stand up for us,” he added.
Looks like a blatant attempt to buy influence.

The firefighters don't want the public PO'ed at them, like they are teachers unions, right now.
Smart move on their part.

From the article:

"President Harold Schaitberger blasted both parties, charging that “extreme right-wing conservative and so-called tea party politicians are coming after firefighters, paramedics, and all public workers with a vengeance across the United States” and that “too few Democrats are standing up and fighting for us.”

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Obama has been for the most part nothing but a moderate wall street republican that has thumbed his nose at the base and would rather side with the goons on the right than his supporters and the american middle class. I hope more unions join in.

Going comando!

Like it is suppose to be!
Neither party, or any politician should get public worker union funds

Quote:
Although the International Association of Fire Fighters gives to both Democrats and Republicans, the 300,000-member organization gives far more to the Democratic Party. In the most recent election cycle, Democrats received $1.9 million, and Republicans, just over $400,000, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Tied at the hip. This is why public sector unionization should be banned.

So, the link is unbiased, fair & balanced. Not a hack piece.

The UAW was rescued. What..they want ALL unions rescued now ?
Looks like the Dems may have backed themselves into a corner.

If you defend and bail out one union then they should defend and bail out ALL unions..right ?
There should be no cheery picking and discrimination over their "policies" towards unions.
