ohhhhhh "everyone involved".... now I get it. You mean everyone like OBAMA ?................. and the SEALs too ?
hahahah, NOW it all makes sense.
You can honor every SEAL you want after they get out of the Navy (if they want you to know that they were a SEAL).
Buy a SEAL a beer (or two) and PLEASE .... don't ask him for stories.
No, that is not what I mean. If you read the resolution, you will see who were involved. For example, George Bush was involved, and his name is mentioned. It is difficult to discuss this with people who have not bothered to read even the OP, let alone the links. Instead you come here only to demonstrate your ignorance.
Again, is it a big problem for you that others want to honor them? It seems to annoy you to no end.

Is it a problem for you that those that participated aren't looking for public honor?
In the unlikely event this thread wasn't just an excuse for some partisan attempts at political one upsmanship why are you bound and determined to heap public attention on a group of military personnel that prefer to remain out of the spotlight?

Dude !
It's a photo op !
PS............ on this subject, I have NO ignorance. (women? well, that's another story)

The point is being missed: No one has suggested that we "out" the SEALS who participated in this mission. Yes, they have been and will be honored; yes, they've seen the spontaneous crowds gather. But we as a people have a need to gather together and honor them together, be it a parade or a ceremony. Sadly, the idea of Americans gathering as one to thank these soldiers is anathema to some; it's to their benefit to keep us divided.

Alternately, criticizing a bunch of politicians for actually adhering to policies (for a rare change) could also easily be described as an attempt to divide.
Why do we have a need to gather together and create a pointless batch of hooplah in honor of men who don't want the attention? It would seem to me respecting their wishes would be a much more genuine form of honoring them.
Bin Laden is dead, great. There are scores of others waiting to take his place. In all likelihood someone already has. There's a very good chance the men involved in this raid will at some point participate on other raids directed at dealing with the new figureheads.
Do you honestly believe they will be happier hearing of celebrations by scores of people that have no idea of what they actually do than they will being left alone to pursue future targets confident in the personal knowledge they have done a good thing?
Attention from Congress is one of the last things the unconventional operations community wants to deal with.
Republicans in the house have shown their true allegencies. They honor the rich but not our troops.
As I said before, this is all about an attempt to score pointless partisan points.
