(Reuters) - House Speaker John Boehner voiced optimism on Thursday about new deficit-reduction talks led by Vice President Joe Biden, but said Republicans will not vote to raise the debt limit without trillions of dollars in spending cuts.
May 5 (Reuters) - U.S. House Republican Leader Eric Cantor said he told bipartisan talks on the U.S. deficit that tax hikes were off the table as far as the Republican-run House of Representatives was concerned.
Thankfully, the GOP is on the side of the people, who have said they want cuts in spending, NOT tax hikes.
Who is he talking to? He needs enough Republican votes to pass the debt ceiling or his Wall street Masters will cut off his golf priviledges. If he can't get Republican votes maybe he can negotiate some Democratic votes if he has something to offer
