Who cares if it was his first visit since he took office. Something significant happened so naturally he went. Is he supposed to go every month, every year? The attach happened 10 years and he wasn't in office. Should he visit Pearl Harbor every year too?

No press cameras were allowed, but Obama had his own cameras there. This whole thing was nothing but the filming of a campaign commercial for Obama. That's why he did this, to tape a campaign spot.
Does this seem Presidential to you, maybe spiking the football too hard?
What else can be expected from this, the least "Presidential" POTUS to sully the White House.

The first time as President of the US. If it weren't you have to know that the media, his best friends in the world, would have told us about it.

Hang in there with that defense.

Garbage in.

Then the press was allowed some photographers at that proceeding? Maybe you need to prove that the man was totally wrong in that idea. Huh?

As compared with Bush NEVER going back after his initial visit (not ONCE in the following SEVEN YEARS of his Presidency)?

What's your point?

Ken

Agreed.
Honestly, who was it really using this for political gain?

And again - Bush NEVER went back - not in 2002, not in 2003, not in 2004, not in 2005, not in 2006, not in 2007, not in 2008 - and certainly not since he's left the Presidency. Does that mean that once he'd scored his points off it (and got his temporary popularity bounce) with his post-9/11 bullhorn speech that he didn't care about it anymore?

What's the point you are trying make? - and how is Obama not visiting for 2 years different than Bush not visiting for SEVEN YEARS?

Sounds like just yet another pathetic and poorly thought out attempted political slam job to me.

Ken

It all becomes clear.
It's a real shame that she couldn't leave off spouting her agenda for one single day.

Very classy, not.

And he's an incompetent nincompoop, eh? Let's see who 'the other side' is lining up against him:

A loudmouth billionaire with a wicked-bad case of comb-over (Trump)

Those lovely twins, The Bats**t Sisters, who make a living off giving snarky soundbites and fomenting bulls**t conspiracy theories (hmmmm...sounds like ...Palin and Bachmann!)

The Four Horsemen Of The Schlock-alypse (Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty, and I'll throw in Gingrich to round it out)

And I'm quite sure others will throw their hats in during the coming months, but those are the 'front-runners' right now...

I also love how, when someone has a spine and a pair of nards, and says something that 'the Right' (to use an all-encompassing term) doesn't like, then suddenly, you're (gasp!) a liberal...a progressive...a leftie...a socialist...a Commie...a whiner...no, how about just somebody who's speaking their mind, but because they DARE to have an opinion counter to yours, suddenly they get some label slapped on them, and their very citizenship and patriotism get questioned, simply because they voted (in their eyes) the 'wrong way' in the last election? WTF kind of junk is that? Enough already...

I will close by making a statement...the elections of 2012 are fast approaching...those of you who are on here daily, weekly, monthly, yapping like starving poodles about every little bit of negativity you can dredge up about the President...now's the time to make good on all your hot air and posturing, and get off your hind-ends, and leave City-Data and GO-VOTE-HIM-OUT!

I'll say it again, without caps, for those in the cheap seats...go-vote-him-out! Put down your snaky-flags, your funny hats, your dog-eared copies of Beck's and Palin's and Coulter's and Hannity's bargain bin remainder 'bestsellers'
about how 'the Left is destroying this great country of ours! (what utter bacon-fat nonsnese)', quit shaking your fists, getting red-faced and bellowing about 'I'm more American-er than you, you lefty Obamabot sheep!', and do the simplest of tasks, and vote him out...

And if you succeed, and he loses, then I will acknowledge and respect the winner, whomever it is, just like I've done after any other election I've ever voted in where my guy lost...

But if he wins, and who's to say he won't, then my most fervent hope will be that, in his first speech after his re-election, he will tell all those folks who sniped at him, carped about him, insulted him and his family on an almost daily basis, to form a line, and then kiss his re-elected Presidential you-know-what 3 times each
Bravo!!!!

Ken
I see that socialism doesn't approach that redistribution of the wealth stuff. If that is so why do we see all the left leaning crap about taxing the hell out of the rich. Why do we continue to see all the class warfare crap coming out of the White House? Whoops that one could be answered that it is only the really left leaning members of the staff, like the czars, who continue to talk all that class warfare crap.

Until you said those last few words, Ken, I was willing to read you but now I think you are just what you blame us for being.
