Why not a National Caucasian Museum? I believe this to be a huge waste of taxpayer money. Barack Obama injecting himself into this opening ceremony only shows how hypocritical he is when it comes to his own ethnicity. He is not fully black. His father's side is Muslim. Also I believe that there is a over saturation of many things in this country that already celebrates african Americans. Isn't it time to say "enough is enough" with wasteful spending? I can't imagine what this thing is going to be filled with!!

With eyes on his own personal legacy, President Obama revealed today that he will help in the groundbreaking of the nation's first African-American museum.

Ummm I guess you guys are saying that if we had a white president, that white president would NOT officiate at an opening ceremony of the ground breaking of a NATIONAL black museum.

*coff coff*

Is that what you guys are implying?

I can read between the lines even though you're an Obama hater you clearly have issues with a "over saturation" of things that celebrate black culture. I can't wait to hear what you will say when we get our first hispanic or woman President!

LAURA BUSH will also be there and is on the board of directors.

It's also part of the Smithsonian.

For those of you reading along who actually enjoy a little non-agenda honesty about our nation's museums.

No. Especially when it's actually American culture being celebrated.
