Misleading title, misleading post and oh wait.........that's SOP.

So, pray tell, why did the democrats FAIL to pass this measure to bring the bill to a vote? They had plenty of votes, but key democrats voted against it.

Blaming the other side when your side fails, oh wait.........that's SOP.

Errr they, as they have for more than a year, needed to have 60 votes to get anything voted on. If all Dems and Indies plus the 2 Repubs voted to bring it to a vote, there would not be 60 votes. So filibuster holds. Perhaps learning how the Senate works may help you understand. The GOP attempt to fast track oil drilling permits failed also, same reason.

As I've repeatedly said to you, do your own homework. If you want to know about those subsidies, it's easy to look it up for yourself.

Makes me wonder why you are shouting for something to be removed that you cant even list what they are.
Makes me wonder about you spinning yourself dizzy.

I'd be embarassed.
Indeed, you should be.

There are no subsidies. There are tax incentives though-- which pretty much every business gets...

Selectively doing away with tax incentives for certain industries (but not the ones you favor) sounds a lot like what Chavez does in Venezuela...

FAIL.. If you are going to make the charge they are receiving subsidies, then YOU must back it up.. I'm under no obligation to do your research for you..

Nor there..

Makes me wonder what your point is in bumping up the thread, proving to others you can backup your position with facts. The fact you cant provide a list is very telling, BECAUSE THERE IS NONE.. A business expense is not a subsidy.. YOU ARE BEING LIED TO AND PLAYED FOR A FOOL because you keep repeating that something exists, that doesnt.

No actual 'filibuster' occurred then, right?

So basically the democrats FAILED in their effort to manipulate the vote.

It's not what your title describes or what happened.

See how that works?

Try to learn what a filibuster is. You have a couple of years to find out before it will change, but you obviously need the exercise.

Time for the Libertarian Party to start offering candidates for EVERY seat, so the voters of America have an actual CHOICE again.

With the Repubs and Dems in collusion and supporting massive Big Government, bailouts and stimulus for Big Business, "Free Trade" that only hurts America, constant wars, stealing the entire $2.5 trillion Social Security Trust Fund and basically robbing the Baby Boom of the retirement they already paid for with SS taxes, and every other bad government policy that has brought our economy and nation to the brink of collapse, it's time for a REAL two-party system. The one party Republicrats with their joke elections between Clone A and Clone B just doesn't fool anyone anymore.
