This is an area where I strongly disagree with both parties.

I wonder when China is going to offer us debt relief.

Offering ANY foreign aid to anyone in the Middle East is only trying to buy good behavior. We should never be coerced into paying protection money. That is what the entire Middle East is doing. They are simply shaking us down by offering good behavior. Paying Danegeld is stupid.

If the republicans held the WH they'd do the same and still everyone would be scratching their heads. Our government uses Americans for it's own one world government, globalist mumbo jumbo ambitions. We're just tools.

This is the answer.

What I find ironic about the posts in this thread is that we are nearing a decade in Iraq, which has been the biggest boondoggle of our time-how much has that costed? Hundreds of Billions?

That was Bush's doing btw. Not Obama's. So the folks now supremely concerned about spending should have voiced their dismay when it really mattered.

Now it just comes across as sour grapes.

China is a bubble waiting to pop. I can't wait.

Agree 100%.

Its no surprise that Obama is pandering to our enemies-all of his predecesors did the same-he is simply continuing the self defeating cycle that began with foreign policy going back at least 50 years.

It would have been nice if his calls for 'change' translated to how we deal with our enemies.

Ive come to believe that the middle east is incapable of democracy as we know it. What seems to work best for them is hardline dictators who squash extremists-ensuring safety not only in their countries, but that also protects other countries like the US from extremists who are jealous of our way of life or have some twisted religious view that they feel justifies killing or harming others.

We've tried to make nice for far too long with these people. Now its time to do what's best for us. And that is simply walking away.

He's just covering all the bases so he can run for president of Egypt when he loses here in 2012.

Calm down. This is just Obama's way of leveling the playing field by turning our country into a 3rd world country. This way we are all equal and it is fair to every other poor nation that we follow that path. They really believe it is unfair that we were once a super power. Let us see how the liberals all feel when their food stamps run out and we are wandering around with begging bowls.

Progressives and Liberals actually really think that they will be spared that by becoming part of the ruling elite class.

I don't think we'd see these kind of choices with Ron Paul as President!

Ron Paul 2012 its time for REAL CHANGE!

Apparently Obama hasn't noticed the US is already way in debt and is getting no relief.
