talks libertarian practice, rather than pure libertarian theory which pretty much my only criticism of Ron Paul
And he left the State of New Mexico with a one billion
dollar surplus. Not given much time
during the debate - but he seemed to liven up a bit
when talking about his mountain climbing.
Very laid back, but I liked his style.

He's in the wrong party. The social conservatives in Iowa and South Carolina will NEVER give this guy the votes he needs to be a serious contender.
He's the type of guy that may have a few fans in the Republican Party but he won't get the votes in the early primaries and then he won't get the money. If he is still in the primary race but the summer of 2012 I'll be shocked.

I think your complaint about Paul has some validity, but at the same time it ignores the fact that most of the media purposely tries to paint him in a corner. The questions they ask are purposely phrased in order for Paul to explain libertarianism rather than his proposed solutions. Nobody wants Paul to explain his reason for backing a gold standard or to end the fed. He makes too much sense. Instead they ask and have him explain the libertarian view of the Civil Rights act from 1964.
Why do you love it, do you think Obama is different, or does it give you a sense of self-fullfillment when your party wins because it's a game to you?
Because if Obama wins, that means the crazies lose.
