I'm not changing the subject. I'm discussing the point you attempted to make with this post...

I guess you hadn't heard of a process called filibuster. Because they COULD have if they wanted to.

Actually, that is just not true. What usually occurs is that the crime committed is both a violation of state AND Federal law. Local policing agencies however can and do arrest individuals who are subject to a Federal arrest warrant.

I could have swore they had a Super-Majority in both House and Senate.
I must have been misinformed, or you were.

Well it is nice to see that the original argument has been duly rejected and abandoned.

Sets a big precedence!

States are equal in power to the fed as of now!

Great.

Now we don't have to worry about one of the causes of the civil war. States rights vs federal rights.

Go Arizona!!!!!

Very true.

Too bad you were unable to see this happening under Bush as well. Or, for prosecuting actions you love, like torture of prisoners, and warrantless search of US citizens.

You'll gladly want the law ignored if that occurs.

But this is typical.

You only care about law breaking on the part of government when it involves those not on "your side".

Don't engage in a conversation you don't understand. But then, the person you picked this for, who was responded to did not either.

Actually, it was passed with help from independents. I don't think democrats had the super majority at the time.
