Could you imagine having fifteen czars overseeing healthcare? I can see it now:

Sex change operation - yes
58 year old white guy needing a heart transplant - no
Viagra prescriptions - yes
Abortion on demand (some resulting from said Viagra prescriptions) - yes

As Michelle Malkin posted nearly two years ago:
Jeff Emanuel at RedState calls attention to the new push by the White House to summon Obama-bots to monitor blog postings and “casual conversations” of health care takeover opponents — and then report them to the White House.

As I noted earlier this morning, the White House pushback on the Internet is coming from the health care czar’s office.
Nancy DeParle makes $158,500 as health care czar. Her flack, Linda Douglass, is not listed in the White House employee salary chart.
What is the budget of the health care czar’s office, which was established by executive order in April? How much are they spending on the Internet snitch brigade initiative?

Facts Are Stubborn Things | The White House

Funny how open healthcare debates are seemingly turned into Gestapo/Marxist whistle blowing. I'm sure I've been blown by the bots repeatedly (punn intended)... boots kicking in my door as I type.

How many czars does he have now?

20 months ago:
Reporter: On Ken Feinberg, I think that he's maybe the 20th czar-type position you've named.

Gibbs: No, I think the title is "special master."

Obama doesn't have Czars, he has Special Masters! Who know's, maybe he'll be our first special dictator.

Gramatically incorrect. "are" is a verb;
'Are' is a verb. It is the active voice, present tense, plural (all persons) or singular (second person only) form of the verb "to be" in English.

"our" is the plural posessive.

I won't comment on your educatio b/c that is a personal attack.

I think we all make spelling and grammatical errors.

The RW started it on this thread and blamed it on "government schools".

38- Personal attacks make a perfect replacement for facts and logic

Ironic considering this entire thread is a personal attack against liberals based on zero facts and logic.

  • If it's been tried and failed 100 times, it will definitely work the 101st time.
  • If Fox News said it, it's right-wing lies.
  • Republicans want to force women and children to work in factories for pennies a day so the can get richer.
  • Not crushing black babies' skulls and sucking them out of the womb with a vacuum cleaner is racist.
  • "Tax cuts for the rich" or Israel are the cause of every problem known to man.
  • We can spend our way out of debt.
  • It's okay if you don't pay the very taxes you so arduously lobby for, it's the thought that counts.
  • People who pay $0 in taxes are overtaxed, while people who pay 35% of their income in federal income taxes alone are undertaxed.
  • We can't go back to the 1950s, but we MUST go back to 1950s tax rates.
  • It's not antisemitic to harshly criticize Israel, but it's racist to disagree with President Obama's policies.
  • Black people were once considered 3/5 of a person under the Constitution.
  • The slave trade was begun by evil white men.
  • College professors who have never in their life produced a product or service anyone needed are qualified to dictate how individuals run their private businesses.
  • You can never have too much government.
  • Taxes can never be high enough.
  • Overpaid government bureaucrats are better at raising my children than I am.
  • The less choice there is, the better.
  • If we keep punishing productive people and rewarding unproductive people, eventually poverty will be eradicated.
I could write a book out of all of these.

-Add a new cabinet-level department--one of the largest federal agencies ever.

- Allow the budget to grow significantly. Instead of cutting the spending, slow its rate of growth.

- Increase the number of workers on the federal payroll by 61,000.

-Expand one of the largest federal domestic programs, Social Security by agreeing to a $165 billion bailout of Social Security.

-Increase payroll taxes on employees and employer.

- Tax Social Security benefits, in the most liberal way: only those of upper-income recipients.

- $100 billion tax hike.

-Increase gasoline taxes.

-Impose the largest corporate tax increase in history.

-Increase the standard deductions and personal exemptions to the point that no family with an income below the poverty line would have to pay federal income tax.

- Exempt millions of low-wage earners from income taxes through the EITC.

Which president?

According to conservatives life should have little government intervention (except in issues regarding marriage, abortion, science, and religion...see Prop 8, the latest attempt to defund Planned Parenthood, and the outrage against the mosque in New York). Conservatives also believe that we should be financially responsible (except when it comes to war spending and having tax cuts that will contribute to the deficit and bring no stimulus to the economy). They tend to believe that free enterprise is always best (even though charter schools in Los Angeles have shown that this is not always the case, and not to mention the debacle with Blackwater). It has been demonstrated that conservatives are wildly against any notion of public health (despite the majority of people liking their VA hospitals and medicare and that it probably would save money in the long run).

Socially, conservatives are very shortsighted. While in the short term it is not an ideal situation to tax the rich, those funds can help the poor in the long run. Conservatives that dislike the poor are either a) out of touch b) believe that if they did everyone can c) are hedging their bets they will be rich someday. Instead of looking at root causes, conservatives are again shortsighted. They typically view social issues on a superficial level (Mary is poor and has two kids, therefore she is lazy and had too many kids). They do not see structural problems (the school Mary went to may have been well funded, but a lower percentage of that money went towards the students, Mary is paying out the nose for healthcare for her children, she is working 50hrs a week and still unable to pay bills,). They do not understand the concept of acquired wealth (Mary's great grand parents were share croppers as were her grand parents, her parents did not come from wealth and thus could only afford the poor part of town).

It's really a shame that conservatives don't practice the compassion that they so famously claim. In fact, a deep seated hatred for those people that are different is ingrained in the conservative ideology. For there to be a conservative movement, that has to exist. Anything new needs to challenged and deemed bad in order to preserve the past. For conservatives, the future is not their friend. They look eagerly towards a past that never existed. Truly who wants to be apart of a movement that doesn't like to move forward?
