A little more than a week ago, Vice President Joe Biden traveled to fundraisers in two battleground-state cities, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.

Neither stop included the White House press corps; requests by local media to cover the events were denied by the vice president's press office.

"It would behoove the Obama administration to keep its promise of transparency even with fundraisers,"

"One, large amounts of taxpayer dollars are being used for personal security at such events. As with all tax dollars, they should be spent with accountability.
"Two, it is important for the public to know what the president and vice president are saying to donors. Is it the same message they are saying to the electorate at large?"

Anyone surprised by this with the Obama Administration?
Health care behind doors, wars without Congressional approval and now this.

Notice also the lack of press conferences. His lack of transparency is unprecedented and still, the MSM and especially the WHPC, just sit on their hands, shielding him from his lies, scandals, controversies, more lies.

They have become little more than his stenographers.

The press did this to themselves. They treated this administration with kid gloves when they presented news.

Now it comes back to bite them. I get my NEWS from foreign sites which present a heck of a lot more than the US MSM does.

So they deserve everything coming to them. I hope they get refused more and are just handed WH press announcements that they can reprint. Maybe that will open their eyes and make them become "objective" once again.

As if that's unprecedented

Former Reagan Communications director David Gergen has been quoted as saying, "A lot of the Teflon came from the press. They didn't want to go after him that toughly."

Of course the hypocrites were fine with it when it was St Ronnie.

I was just about to post this when I saw it was already here.
This administration controls the message, as I guess all past ones did too, but not so..........transparently as the Obama admin. The media are led around by the nose, gratefully accepting whatever bone is thrown to them. Where are the press conferences? What happened to the new press sec? Haven't seen him in a while.
What is wrong with the press? Don't they realize they are participating when they are supposed to be reporting? Which ever candidate has the press behind them has a distinct advantage, and it's not supposed to be that way.

We don't call them the lap dog press for nothing.

Rely on them at your own peril.
