Although I think it would be a violation of Posse Comitatus, our military would be much better utilized along the border than in Iraq and frigging Afghanistan.
Still need to end the third war - the war on drugs.
No, using our military to defend our own borders doesn't violate Posse Comitatus in the least. That act prohibits the military from being used as a police force against the American people--in effect, it prohibited a federal police (though of course politicians managed to create several of those anyway, like the BATF).
In fact, our military was SUPPOSED to defend our borders, not be used to enrich the military-industrial complex by inciting warfare all around the globe. Just consider, if some other major power (like China) went around giving away and selling arms to every nation in the world, supporting wars between other nations by arming both sides, and actively waging war, how evil would we consider that nation?

In your dreams, we have Afghanistan at our border these days.
Thank god we probably caught them smoking their own pot and worshiping the god of illegal recreational drugs. Looks like they took this tank easily. Maybe someone inside had stomach trouble?
