We can certainly cut from defense but we have to nip social security, medicare and medicaid in the bud first. They're the primary contributors to the deficit, not defense spending.
That's only "a fact" in your odd, bizzarro World. ....LOL

Your "fact" is absurd and comical.

And if you think welfare is unconstitutional ....tell it to the Judge bub.

You really think that repubs want to balance the budget? Repubs had control of all 3 houses for 6 years and they didn't do a dam(sp) thing to balance it so why would you believe repubs want that now? Put them in charge of all 3 houses agains and guess what happens? Nothing but same ole same ole.

How has it been a failure? I hear liberals talking about this all the time, but they've never given me concrete economic data supporting that claim. There was one year where this "failed" economic policy brought 7.1% GDP growth in 1985 I believe? I do not believe we've had that much growth since. So please tell me how it failed.

We all know the buck stops with the president. None of you are letting Obama off the hook, even with a half-Republican Congress.

Please remember that spending increased above the 40 year average under Reagan and two of the biggest peacetime tax increases occurred under his watch, in 1982 and 1984, right before your big 7.1% growth year. So, it's just confusing to many of us why you're focused on one political ideology and not the other.

The problem is that the so called American conservatives are the borrow and spend element in the American political economic system. The last serveral Democratic US leaders either reduced the nations deficit spending or actually ran a surplus. It is the GOP that is addicted to credit and has no problem mortgaging the nations economy to the Japanese, Indians, Saudis and Chinese.
