So the rabble get the speeches to go green and go paperless, and this is what the lawmakers do. Typical. When they get serious about going green - then they should be taken seriously. Otherwise all of this climate change, green energy crap is a hoax. If it was serious, they would be doing it also.

probably cause people in Congress haven't figured out how a pdf files works....there are still a lot of old guys in the government.
I bet if the pdf file was the only thing available the old farts would learn real quick how it all works. It's the American way, don't do it until we are forced to.
Doesn't really matter anymore anyway, out government is beyond repair, hell the people can't even get along how do we ever expect the politicians to. Our best days are behind us.

It's what happens when technology works at a breakneck speed and people who are elected are pretty old. My mom still insists I keep a paper copy of everything, and while I sort of understand the idea of it, I just keep digital copies in multiple ways. I think the power and hardware requirements are actually less than the paper version of it, but I haven't taken the time to actually count it out. I think we should consider pushing our government to be the most technocratic government in the world and trying to get the boons from this.
By the way, I saw an infographic about top political leaders from countries around the world and what their backgrounds were. The only one I remember is that China was a large portion from engineering and science schools while the US was a large portion of law schools. Does anyone have a link to it? Or actually a better one because I remember it was pretty limited in its coverage.
I have read the online congressional reports. It took a little bit to find them, but they are there.
I like to read on paper rather than the computer screen - but 1) I buy my own paper, and 2) if they want stuff on paper for reference, surf through the file and print the pages you need instead of printing all throwing away millions of pages that aren't even read.
