The biggest thing he had going for him was the empty chant of "Yes We Can" and "Hope and Change", and making history as the first black President. It's worn off fast; and also, he'll be 50 the next election - too old to have the "young and hip" appeal.
Yes, Mrs S, you are so correct on that, and yes, it wore off really fast. We got nothing but a black man as a president......nothing more, nothing less.
I hope all the people that voted for him just because his skin color was not white, got a rude awakening...

Despite simply terrible economic news and horrid 9.1% unemployment, Obama beats all the GOP contenders by comfortable margins. It's so pathetic, in fact, that I will simply post Romney's numbers, since the flip-flopping RomBot is the strongest candidate the GOP has to go up against Obama. Obama leaves all other GOP candidates in the dust:

I see them here and they are already making excuses for 2012. Claiming the "liberal media" is going to help him win etc. That says to me, they already understand they will probably lose and need a reason other than that most Americans really don't like their policies.
