So you think it's hateful to say something is wrong? Is that it?

They are no different than many Christians: in the closet yet on the down low they have men. Stoning...this is no different that the Christian group You Can Run But You Can't Hide, Inc. - a tax exempt Christian group whose founder publically called for the execution of gays and with who Michelle Bachmann and Sister Palin are associated.

“Muslims are calling for the executions of homosexuals in America. This just shows you they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God, but they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do, because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality is an abomination...If America won’t enforce the laws, God will raise up a foreign enemy to do just that...That is what you are seeing in America.” Bradlee Dean

Depends on what is declared wrong. Saying that murdering people is wrong is not hateful. Declaring a gay person's entire existence as wrong and calling it a "lifestyle" most certainly is.

Why do gays support Democrats?

It was Bill Clinton that signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law.

John Kerry and George W. Bush both had the same position on gay marriage. But gays voted for Kerry and villified Bush.

By your "logic" it is okay to be hateful and extreme toward a group as long as they are in the majority. Good for you.

You all make excuses for people like Clinton and Kerry even though they hold the exact same positions as most Republicans. And Dick Cheney is very supportive of gays. But you all hate him too. Just proves that gays are more about hating Republicans than anything else. They certainly don't have any consistency in their positions.

Generalizations are fun!
You need to study up on Fred Phelps politics. He is clearly a social progressive. There is no way around it.

And Phelps ran for Gov of Kansas as a Democrat, not a Republican.

I mentioned Phelps and not Robertson for a reason. The link provided only mentioned "right wing" people like Robertson while ignoring lefties like Phelps.

That's all I was pointing out. Your to busy hating on me to see straight or you would have realizd that.

Lots of progressives over the years have wanted to wipe out entire groups of people. Blacks and Jews are just some of the groups progressives want to get rid of.
I think you got the wrong definition of "progressive."

Please stop generalizing us all into one. I don't love Bill Clinton and I don't hate Dick Cheney and I'm a gay liberal.

We are individuals. Just like Christians are individuals. Stop painting us with a wide brush. Thank you.

Lots of progressives have held these views.

Margaret Sanger and Woodrow Wilson come to mind.

Unless you think they were friendly to non-Christians and non-whites.

Progressivism is rooted in hate and racism. Not much as changed. Progressives just aren't as open about their hate today.
