I second that emotion, politicians should not evoke and sign any treaty which violates our Consitution, and that is darn pretty plain and simple.

A UN resolution cannot override US Constitution, so there is not much to feel.

Exactly. However, it appears that there are people who don't quite realize that the UN doesn't actually have jurisdiction over the US.

Right. UN has floated these kinds of resolutions for decades (see LOST treaty for example, which Bush supported), but people don't get it that UN resolutions do not cancel out US Constitution.

The UN used to be irrelevant and a waste of taxpayer funds so we ignored it. Now it's like a cancer that invades the entire body.

Withdrawal from the UN is long past due.
