That video asserts that those employers in THAT office are NOT doing their job...not that the program is some come one come all government food bonanza.
Terminate the employees and enforce the standards...problem solved.
Well you cant come on here and drop this in the lap of people without PROOF and say "Because you haven't heard it doesn't mean its not happening"...That may be true...but you made the assertion so its YOUR job to prove it.
What assertion did I make?
I believe all I stated was that there is no citizenship requirement for WIC( a FACT) and therefore there is no way of knowing how many illegals are receiving it.

I might just go to my local "WIC" office and say my name is Julio Sanchez and according to you lickity split I should have my free government food card?
then what is the purpose of even having the office there? why not make it a mail in application since there are NO CHECKS whatsoever?
Here is what you would need in NC to apply.
Identification: (Only one is needed)
Valid driver's license, Social Security card, current work/school ID, current Medicaid card, current military ID, birth certificate, immunization record, and for infants: hospital crib card, ID bracelet or mother’s verification of facts form. Residence (where you live): (Only one is needed)
Current utility bill, valid driver’s license, current Medicaid card (or presumptive eligibility form), bank statement, current rental or mortgage receipts, Division of Motor Vehicle ID card. Income: (Only one is needed)
Current paycheck stubs, or recent tax return for the self-employed, current Medicaid card, a letter of certification for the NC Food and Nutrition Services, a letter from your employer stating gross income and frequency of pay, unemployment letter/notice.
So....a drivers license for ID,a utility bill for residence, and a letter from your employer stating your income.

An Illegal would be hard pressed to come up with those documents here in Florida.
-An illegal cant walk into the DMV here and get a license (FL at least)
-An Illegal cant get approved with a landlord without proof of income.
-Proof of income would be impossible since employers that issue W-2's here use E-verify.
And "A letter from your employer" would be verified since these are only the requirements to APPLY...how many get rejected for shoddy paperwork?
This program would be BANKRUPT in 2 days if it has the lax over-site your claiming.

It is against the law to rent to someone with no proof of income?

There are plenty of holes in the E-Verify authentication system, but that doesn’t seem to matter all too much. Westat, a contract-based research organization, found that 54 percent of illegal immigrants were not flagged by E-Verify when their information was run.
I'm not arguing if its possible..I'm saying you'd have to jump through hoops and know the system inside and out AND find a worker not doing a proper check...to have things work out for you.
And how many Illegals have that Knowledge, Connections and Luck?
No its not "Illegal" for a landlord to rent without proof you can pay...but the ones that don't aren't in business for very long.

YEARS back( I mean 15-20 years ago) I watched a news program about how easy it was for illegals to buy Social Security cards...you think it has gotten more difficult since then?
A few years back,I went to traffic court and the hispanics almost to a person said exactly the same thing when asked about how long they had lived there,as if they all knew what to say...
You give illegals too little credit.

I'm not agreeing with oz but I will tell you from experience that the wic offices in florida are very lax. I went to the health department when I was pregnant. The wic office is located inside of the health department and they send you over as soon as soon as you got your positive test results. All I had was my student id and my drivers license. They told me I could bring paycheck stubs and proof of residency when I came back to recertify in 3 months and they gave me a full envelope of wic checks. Whole process took less than 10 minutes.

We need a puke emoticon on this forum. This nauseates me.

And what EXACTLY is wrong with agreeing with me.....
