I didn't watch the broadcast but I am very happy that Obama made plans for the withdrawal because I know if McCain was in office, there would be no withdraw at all, in fact, there would probably be troops in Iran and who knows what other countries.... There are few things that Obama does right and this is only one of those rare occasions... kudos to Obama...
Make it two...you've got to give him credit for bin Laden, as that was a campaign promise as well. I'll be happy when our troops are all home, safe and as sound as possible.

Wow..This is actually lost on most but I must give you credit for admitting it. Liberals (I'm a liberal) are busy whinning tonight because Obama couldn't magically bring them all home tonight.
Is there any doubt that this effective, articulate, incredible President will easily win reelection? A GOP response would insult the dignity of his address. Troops are finally leaving Bush's war after President Obama made adjustments there. Instead of a war gone out of control and mismanaged as Bush had done, Obama has been effective at ending the commitment and getting bin Laden. "Time to nation-build at home."
This President far superior to anyone in the GOP.
