New evidence is starting to suggest that.

They've never been tested.

Also, the National Institute of Standards and Technology says that the Dept. of Homeland Security 'mischaracterized' their work by telling USA Today that NIST affirmed the safety of the scanners when in fact NIST does not do product safety testing and never tested a scanner for safety."

Not only that, but the TSA used to say that NIST said the cancer rsiks were low according to testing done by NIST. What more did they lie about? Oh, a lot like when they said they would stop groping children .

Here's some more links from the infowars article that they linked to for their evidence. Just in case some people on here think infowars is making stuff up.

I stopped flying so I DON'T CARE

Folks are willing to radiate themselves in order to "feel safe" on a plane.

Cause people are like sheep, being led to the slaughter. The UK has had far more terrorist attacks on its soil than the U.S. and they don't even use the cancer/porno scanners! Not even the Israelis use those!

Luckily for me I've avoided the scanning and the groping but last I flew was last year. I'm due to fly again in December back to England and I'm opting out of the microwave. Course I'll be punished by the TSA for doing that, but hey, better than being microwaved to death and standing up looking like you're under arrest

I've opted out every time. The backscatter scanners are the irradiating kind (and they already know they raise the risk of skin cancer in susceptible groups). The millimeter scanners (which we have at our local airports and I still refuse to go through) are supposedly safer...but to hell with that.

Sighs.
So I guess I'll host the Revolution meeting. Next week at a Holiday Inn. Punch and Pie will be served.
We really need to do something about this nonsense.

Throw in a shortened lifespan and it's quite the cocktail.

We also have the millimeter wave scanners at my local airport but I've never gone through them. When it was national opt-out day last year, even in December I was passed through the metal detector and I wasn't even groped.
