WalMart has to buy Chinese-made stuff. It's the cheapest junk in the world, because WalMart demands the cheapest prices and has trained Chinese companies to do their bidding, or no purchases. Now they're stuck.
I do not shop at WalMart. If I pay $3 more for a new iron, or more for milk or bread, so be it. That said, millions of Americans have no choice.
I happily do a small portion of my shopping at Walmart because they have motor oil and auto supplies at the best prices anywhere. They also take used motor oil for recycling anywhere in the US. Just bring them a container of oil and they take it. Pretty darn good if you ask me.
The run a business with a 3.5% profit margin. Impressive.
I know- I go to Kroger but sometimes hubby likes to save 5.00 and walmart is down the street- ugh- he was looking for a rake, and they had a plastic rake that was stapled to the wood....lol...
The food section is disgusting. I'd buy paper towels there, thats about it. Its sad that many Americans have no choice- in more rural parts of tennessee its all they have...
Americans reduced to buying "Made in China" crap while the average Chinese shopper spends $5700.00 per shopping spree while in London.
Hey, we should be shopping at Harrods while chinese people shop at walmart!
This may be crazy, but my guess is that Chinese people who can afford to go to England can afford to shop at the fancy places. Your irony meter may be out of calibration...
walmart is bottom of the barrel, point of the post is why do so many Americans have to shop there now?
Here's another one of my favs.
