Let alone the Treasury ETF would gain rapidly if the debt continues to climb, not on a "default".. The govt simply stop funding expenses which dont stop income to the treasury..

Cantor is not shorting treasuries, the mutual fund that he does not run but only invest in is doing the shorting. I do not even like Cantor but there is nothing to see here.
