Well that's an interesting point... to what extent will you go to oppose people who were in favor of the bailouts, though?
For instance, House Majority Leader John Boehner gave an impassioned speech back in 2008 on the importance of approving the first bailout bill.
But he was overwhelmingly re-elected by his constituents.
And think of all the new House members who claimed to be against the bailouts... then turned around and voted for Boehner to
become the majority leader!
In my experience, most people who claim that they were "against the bailouts" vote in a way that suggests otherwise - either they vote for people who
were in favor of the bailouts, or they vote for people who
support others who
did vote for the bailouts.
Hence, they perpetuate the same old system that produced the bailouts in the first place, despite whining about it regardless.
If you don't... you'd be one of the principled few.
