Wow, I did not know of this information until today on a current documentary.

Very sad state of affairs that military soldiers will go out of their way to provoke, harass, and mock someone who was physically smaller and kept to himself (Bradley Manning). Very unfortunate and unprofessional. But not near as tragic as The Pat Tillman Story.

Old news. Still no excuse for releasing classified documents without authorization.

The majority of servicemembers I've met have been upstanding good people.

But there's a segment of the military population that's sort of the bottom of the barrel. Remember, the military had major recruiting issues back around 2005-2007 before the recession. At one point the Army was actually taking people who didn't even have GEDs, offering to educate them enough to pass the GED exam. And of course they started allowing felons in.

I figured as much when I heard he was listening to Lady Gaga during his treasonous actions.

You don't think the drill instructors had anything to do with it?

Don't mean to sound "insensitive" but if someone can't tolerate a bit of "mocking," how in the world are they going to stand up under enemy interrogation? BTW, do you have a link?

Your military team is supposed to empower, train, and motivate you so that you are strongest when confronting the enemy. Let's use common sense.

I think it had more to do with atrocities he witnessed in Iraq than with being bullied. I don't have a link but I'm sure anyone can google it.
