Hey, elected officials - DONT SCREW UP! compromise with each other and get the budget bill thru. Screwing up our debt will make the USA to a lower (than AAA) status and cost us billions/trillions more in interest!!! Cut spending, raise taxes and COMPROMISE!!! or you will be hurting the entire USA population. Better yet BALANCE THE BUDGET!!! It's better to lose YOUR JOBS in the short term than to sacrifice this NATION for the long term. Act like Americans for a change, and stop sucking up to your special interest groups. Democrat or Republican, it doesnt matter, work for the USA for a change.
The Dems had control of both House and Senate and couldn't pass a budget last year.
That should tell you that even people in the same party can't get their act together.
A couple of points. There is no budget bill being talked about. There is only desire by the President to raise the debt ceiling. However there is a desire by the repbulicans to tie any such at to spending cuts. There is a desire by the democrats to tie any such cuts to tax increases.
That is NOT a budget.

Republicans have provided detailed plans that they are willing to accept. Republicans have also provided detailed bills that outline how spending should be directed to insure we do not default in the case that we do not raise the debt ceiling.
Democrats in congress and the President have offered no such detailed bills outlining their plans.

Congress already presented a balanced budget, Obama and Democrats and President Empty Suit refused.
Last I heard he was doing both class warfare and threatening now to pull old people's social security.
If I were elderly I'd look to fire Obama in 2012 for sure before he passes some euthanasia bill.
