Wow. This is one of the dumbest things ive seen in a while. If you dont understand what makes it dumb, then I pity you.
Ive been out of the Navy for about 4 years now. While I miss it at times, its this kind of stupidity that makes me happy I got out.

“Navy fans, we’re appreciative of the interest on a topic that doesn’t get enough serious scrutiny. A few things we’d offer: 1) This is not a Navy-generated poster, but we extended it to get your attention; 2) As sad as it is, you’d be surprised how many people need to be told these seemingly basic things; 3) It’s everyone’s responsibility to stop sexual assault. Let’s get to it,” the Navy wrote.
The Navy explained to TheDC that this is part of its ongoing effort to stamp out sexual assault in its ranks.
“The initial posting was put up with insufficient context,” Navy spokeswoman, LT Alana Garas told TheDC. “We quickly provided it. The intention of posting the poster was to encourage discussion on a serious issue in our Navy. Sexual assault is a crime that will not be tolerated. One sexual assault is too many and the Navy will continue to explore ways to reach our sailors on this serious issue.”

It was probably done a bit "scarcastically" in response to complaints of sexual harrassment. From that standpoint, I can't blame them. On the other hand, how much taxpayer money was spend on these posters?

They should have made this poster in a Sponge Bob theme. If you are going to be silly, then be silly. Sponge Bob says, "Keep your penis out of my holes unless I give you written permission validated and notarized by the ship's Captain or XO." I wonder if they needed this poster on the set of Gilligan's Island???? Ah Maryann! Noooo, I would never spike your coconuts, I mean . . . whatever it is you're drinking . . .
Some people need to be constantly reminded that thier sexual attentions are not always appreciated.
