This is what you get when:

1) You will not tax the wealthy at modestly higher rates.

2) You badmouth and whittle away at union bargaining rights.

3) You are apathetic or hostile to raises in the minimum wage.

4) You change laws to strip workers of their rights and benefits.

5) You will not fund the IRS properly to go after tax cheats and close corporate tax loopholes.

I present the effects of 30 years of right wing ideology. You made your bed now sleep in it.

I agree. Not one single Democrat had a hand in any of it.

Republicans like the ones on this forum believe workers deserve what ever bad unfair treatment they get and those workers who vote for them are 100% to blame.

Who's saying that?

For the most part Obama and Blue Dog Democrats have participated in this 30 year right wing effort to consolidate power in the hands of corporations and the ultra rich.

None of these corporate lackeys will get my vote. Democrat or Republican.

I'm voting for those who fight for middle class benefits and the ability for a person to earn a wage that can provide for a family.

The only faction in government willing to stick it's neck out for the middle class are liberal/progressive Democrats.

Don't blame my republicans because some democrats support the same ideas? That was a quick defense! Perhaps you ought to start looking at things as being real issue than trying to continue partisan bickering.

Meanwhile, the price of commodities...

When union pension funds are the country's biggest investors (CalPERS anyone?) , and as those stockholders DEMAND more efficient operations and higher profits, what do you think happens to labor's salaries when production costs such as commodities increase?

The entire "right wing ideology is to blame" mantra is just stupid. To support that assertion, one would have to completely absolve Democratic policymaking, Democratic voting records, and Democratic deal-making over the past 30 years.

The assertion simply doesn't pass the laugh test to even warrant defending conservative ideology.

This is what happens when you let big business buy your politicians and run the puppet government for THEIR benefit.
If you think this is all only one sided you are seriously delusional and in denial.

Started with FDR as big business asked for "government protection" of their industry.
And it only grew worse with time.
