Ahhh, other than show the political opinion of the overall population. Of course, why pay attention to data when you can just be emotional like a spitey 5 year old child.

Kind of like how you ignore all the polls that show how much the public supports CCB, how much they don't even want the DC raised, how much they want big spending cuts and less taxes.....and the polls that show obama is tanking.....so how come the polls show he is tanking while at the same time approving of his tactics, which means No plan, NO details?
“The president’s worried about his next election, but my God, shouldn't we be worried about the country?” Boehner said. “I'm not worried about the next election. I told the president months ago: Forget about the next election!”
Exactly. The GOP has been talking debt for months and now all of a sudden, in the last 3 weeks, obama can come in and pretend he's serious?
Oh yeah, I can't wait for him to do that when he is presented with a bipartisan deal from Congress.
Let him explain the reason why he doesn't want to sign it is purely political.
I'm sure he'll consider a bipartisan plan as long as it doesn't include a short term band aid,
pretty sure he can be reached in a matter of moments if needed....
I take it you haven't looked at any of the poll data about Congress and their handling of this. Obama is trying to push people to get a big deal done. There are certain elements of congress that won't compromise at all. Those are the people that you should be whining about.
Obama is still insistent on raising taxes. No compromise there.
He has increased spending by $4 trillion and doesn't want to reduce it enough to get the job done.
He wants to raise taxes now and then "work" on getting the cuts later. Like that will ever happen.
Quick...jot an email to Politico with your complaint!
I'll just wait for you to explain WHY it isn't accurate.
Love this;

“As I read the Constitution, the Congress writes the laws and you get to decide what you want to sign,” Boehner said, recounting what he told the president, according to two sources.
I saw that last night before signing off.... best I've slept in weeks.
So now there'll be no default, and Congress will reign in spending, hopefully before agencies drop the rating. It's the unhinged spending that will cause a ratings drop.
The POTUS has made his position crystal clear, he will veto any plan that doesn't extend the
debt ceiling into 2013 so what is the point in him being at the talks as long as repubs disagree?
Why would the repubs agree to extending the debt ceiling until AFTER the 2012 elections?
If that isn't pure politics on Obama, I don't know what is. we need cuts now

If 80% of americans support Obama's position, why would he be stepping out of the discussion?

He's not needed, never was.
