I'm not a Republican but I'll answer.

Funny, the question was answered in this video. The host simply shrugged it off. Means-tested Medicare and Social Security is NOT $1,000 per year as he tried to say.

All that being said, in exchange for a balanced budget amendment compromise, I am for raising taxes on REAL millionaires ($1,000,000 and up, not this fake millionaire conjured up at $250K).

Regardless, I am skeptical of any opinions coming from a network that is state-funded by the Russian government.

What will 250k millionaires lose in their shared sacrifice?

If they follow my advice and make their contribution to the U.S. Treasury Debt Reduction rather than to Obama's re-election campaign they won't lose anything.

They'll have made their contribution to Obama's plan, they'll have assisted the debt reduction, they'll have denied Obama their fair share of re-election funds and possibly assisted the country to rid the government of the Socialist/Sociopath in Chief.

Win/win

Republicans only want everyone else to make sacrifices. They don't want to give up ANY part of the wealthy Americans' fair share !

Thumbs down The GOP position...

... is that we have this economic recession because millionaires don't have enough money.

i suppose the fact that the wealthy in this country pay fully half the tax bill while making up about 10% of the population is no sacrifice?

The wealthy don't pay their fair share. They have been getting tax breaks for the past 30 years which they have made profits from. They do not want to give up this great little gig they have but they want the rest of Americans to make sacrifices so they can keep their tax breaks and keep gaining more wealth.

The high earners are the one paying a biggre portion of income taxes now. The Dems want a tax increase to continue to provide benefits for services they are not paying for. Also, according to the President he wants to increase taxes on high earners, not just millionares and billionares..since when does 250K = 1 million.
This is a silly q -

The real q, should be, should high earners be asked to pay more for services they are not recieving? The services being cut are services that high earners are paying for, but using very little of. If I am not partaking of a service, why should I be asked to pay more? Because of this mentality (not living within our means), we have to gotten to this...

What sacrifice are you talking about? Low and middle earners being asked to pay for more of their benefits instead of having them subsidized more? Not buying what your selling
