Default could happen if tax-cheat Timmy fails to write checks like he failed to pay his taxes. It shouldn't happen but I don't put Obama and Geithner above making it happen unnecessarily in their effort to destroy the US currency and economy.
At this point the only way Obama can stay in office following November 2012 is to create mahem, declare an emergency, cancel the election, and pronounce himself Dictator like his buddy Chavez. Nothing would surprise me when it comes to this man occupying the Oval Office.
Like the TP is doing now. Obama doesn't have any thing to worry about as the TP is turning on their own.
Sadly the right wing on this board supports their attempts to destroy America, since they are doing what they were elected to do! Of course, the right wings also don't realize crashing the world economy and raising our interest rates doesn't actually save us money, it forces us to spend trillions more in interest.
America was destoryed long ago its called 14trillion in debit, goverment bailouts of their corrupt buddies and 3 wars.
You tell me is it so right wing to balance a budget or let the DEFAULT come with 20 trillion in debit.
If you think the government will actually cut government without some restrictions of constitutional authority you are the one who is planning the destruction of the USA.
The Tea Party won't be satisfied until the federal government shrinks and follows the Constitution. This is the best time. Rather than ween ourselves from credit, we are going cold turkey. It won't be easy but it is better than digging the hole deeper and trying to crawl out.
They ARE digging the hole deeper, though. When your credit is downgraded, your interest rates go up, then your payments on that interest go up. We are trillions of dollars in debt; for every interest point that goes up, it means we owe trillions more. That is the reality that seems to escape some people. Protecting our credit rating is vital to paying off our debt.

Now, if you could elaborate on more than the cartoon, that would be great for those of us confused out here who are not following this mess moment by moment.
