Oh, for heaven's sake, n**g*r is just a phonetic variation of "negro", the Spanish word for "black". It has nothing to do with racism. And I want to assert, of course, that words and phrases never change in meaning, never develop negative connotations, are never used in a negative manner. I am absolutely offended that Representative Lamborn apologized for using the phrase "tar baby" when referencing President Obama and acknowledging the negative connotations. Really, he should have just told people that they were acting gay and oversensitive, and that they should read more and bellyache less. (And this is an example of sarcasm.)
Keep working on it, you'll get it sooner or later. (This is encouragement).

More like shark-chasm, man!
Someone called me Ergohead in a negative connotation just the other day.
This guy actually implied that I was a "non sequiturial therefore", man.
I would prefer, Bre'r Ergohead, to Herr, or Comrade, Ergohead, thank you!
A theft from whom, by whom? The compilation of folktales is ALWAYS attributed to slave descendants and Africa. No one is stealing anything. If anything, white cultured literary people brought African tales to the public.
Actually, The "Uncle Remus" stories used the vehicle of African folktales to carry satire about the relationships between blacks and whites during Reconstruction. Joel Chandler Harris was more than a simple scribe who recorded tales he heard told. He was a contemporary and friend of Mark Twain.
The Tar Baby story specifically dealt with the problems caused by the resistance to integration of the freed slaves into a formally all-white society by those who longed for the former status quo.

Yea, ok...keep believing that.
N**g*r is far more than just a simple variation of a Spanish word. Go out on the streets and use it if you want verification of that.
