I don't know what lawns have to do with this, but I personally dislike the manicured lawn look. I prefer a jungle like front lawn or organic vegetable garden.

Let's just agree to disagree. I look at it this way...If I am incorrect in my beliefs about Climate Science and I am doing everything possible not to contibute to climate change, only good can come from my efforts in the long run, but if you and others that believe as you do are wrong...well then that's another story.

What I believe they should be taught is how BIG MONEY via BIG OIL and other industries are spending on influencing people that their practices have no effect on the planet.

No, but I am a member of The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens Society and we teach kids about planting organic produce and the harmful effects of pesticides and chemicals in their food and on the environment...does that make you bang youself in the head too?

Nope. You're not using our tax dollars and kids are not mandated to attend your classes. And, I'm not opposed to kids learning about organic gardening in their free time. Sounds nice. My kids are at a summer farm camp at this very moment which probably incorporates some of the same teachings.
Maybe because it's good for kids to critically think about controversial issues?
When will the other side of the story be told by these people? You want to see kids indoctrinated about something like global warming that not even the people who were so sure of it are pushing today but don't dare tell those kids the other side of the story.
I certainly hope you can see what I am saying, and why.
I'm relieved all of this stuff is coming to an end really soon with our imminent credit downgrade.
Where in that 74 pages of that new law does it say that the Department of
Education will stop indoctrinating our kids about global warming and other "Green" crap? Oh, yeah we haven't seen the bill yet have we. It is written and signed in less than two days and our Congress had promised 3 days on line for all bills along with the President promising 5 days before his signing.
I think you will have a load of trouble telling us about this stuff being ended as long as Obama is our President.
