I think that the problem we are experiencing right now is mostly a manmade issue right now (a very quick change in temperature) but I do believe that there are natural cycles as well. I don't think anyone disputes that.

Well, personally... I think it's a cycle that humans have sped up.

I mean, the ice age happened, why not an extreme heat period?

If you look at the charts not just from the 1700s and up, you'll see that the earth is due for another warm up. Of course, I'm sure that man is impacting this temperature change at least a little. A little environmental protection never hurt anyone, though.

what about a option that says someone recognizes that the world goes through cycles (ever heard of the ice age?) but that our collective actions as the human race can impact that cycle and alter it in negative ways?
